The Role

The AI Solutions Engineer will work directly with clients, project managers, and engineering teams to design and implement AI-driven solutions that solve real business problems.

This role blends solution architecture, AI engineering, and client consulting. The ideal candidate enjoys working with clients to understand their business processes, identifying opportunities for AI-driven improvements, and building production-ready AI systems that integrate with modern data platforms and applications.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement

• Collaborate with clients and SDP project managers to gather requirements and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions

• Translate business problems into technical AI architectures

• Lead technical discussions and guide clients on best practices for AI adoption ‍

AI Solution Architecture

• Design scalable AI architectures that integrate with enterprise systems and data platforms

• Architect solutions using technologies such as:

          - Azure AI services

          - OpenAI / LLM APIs

          - Microsoft Fabric data platforms

          - Vector databases and knowledge retrieval systems

          - Custom application integrations

AI Development

• Build AI-powered solutions such as:

           - AI copilots and agents

           - Intelligent data analysis tools

           - Process automation systems

           - Document processing and knowledge retrieval solutions

           - Predictive and analytical AI models

• Integrate AI capabilities into custom software applications and enterprise workflows

Data Integration

• Work with data engineers and BI developers to integrate AI solutions with:

          - Data warehouses and lakehouses

          - Operational systems

          - APIs and enterprise applications ‍

Delivery & Optimization

• Deploy production-ready AI solutions in cloud environments

• Monitor performance, accuracy, and reliability of AI systems

• Continuously improve models, prompts, and system architecture

Background and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field

• 3+ years experience in software engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML development

• Experience building applications in Python, C#, or similar languages

• Experience working with APIs and modern cloud platforms

• Familiarity with LLMs and AI application development

• Experience integrating solutions with data platforms or data warehouses

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients

• Experience building LLM-powered applications or AI agents

• Experience with Azure AI, OpenAI APIs, or similar platforms

• Experience with vector databases and retrieval augmented generation (RAG)

• Consulting or client-facing experience

• Experience designing enterprise AI architectures

• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time.

• Must be able to periodically work on site in the St. Louis area
