Anheuser-Busch has a strong, long-standing partnership with farmers that grow the crops used to produce the Anheuser-Busch products. This trusted relationship ensures Anheuser-Busch products are of the highest quality and consistency.
The Strategic Sourcing team at Anheuser-Busch wanted to develop a partnership that would bring together the farmers that grow the crops used to produce the Anheuser-Busch products and the partners across the Anheuser-Busch supply-chain. This partnership would leverage the combined buying power of all the farmers and enable the farmers to obtain discounted pricing from preferred vendors on services needed by the farmers. At the same time, assisting the partners in sourcing their products and services by becoming a preferred vendor.
The Strategic Sourcing team needed a way to communicate the benefits of this program with the farmers and enable the farmers to easily find discounted pricing from the preferred vendors.
Software Design Partners designed and implemented a website portal that was visually appealing and user friendly. The portal highlights the benefits of the Grower Strategic Sourcing program and enables farmers to easily search for specific services available from preferred vendors.
The portal provides a secured login so it is only accessible to growers and it utilizes a Content Management System (CMS) to allow the Strategic Sourcing team to easily update the website without the need for additional development.
By sourcing competitive offerings with industry leading preferred vendors and taking advantage of the collective buying power of the grower network, this program ultimately delivers discounts back to the growers. SDP enabled Anheuser-Busch to achieve a triple win; the farmers, the preferred vendors, and the Strategic Sourcing team.
